Our Mission
Devoted to Design Foundation believes innovative, environmentally, and socially responsible interior design is essential to build a better world. To contribute to a thriving and diverse community of design professionals, Devoted to Design Foundation currently focuses on providing scholarship and grant opportunities to students in interior design and related fields. Future contributions may include sponsoring or providing leadership, educational, professional development, and research and publication opportunities for students and faculty of design programs for the purpose of advancing and diversifying interior design and allied fields.

About
Our Story
Design Institute of San Diego was founded in 1977 by Gloria and Arthur Rosenstein to help prepare future interior design professionals for a successful and rewarding career. They had a passion for interior design and a vision about the future of education for this rapidly expanding field.
Today, Design Institute remains a highly specialized college, focused solely on the theory and practice of interior design. A Master’s degree program now accompanies the Bachelor’s degree program, and both are still taught by working interior design professionals because they have first-hand understanding of business, industry organizations, changing technologies and shifting cultural needs.
Our legacy includes alumni who have become award-winning designers and innovators who apply their design practices to create social and global impact.
